Why Ants Keep Coming Back
Sprays scatter ants. We eliminate the colony.
Ants are the most common pest call in Chula Vista and coastal San Diego. The main culprit is the Argentine ant, an invasive species that forms enormous "supercolonies" with many queens spread across yards, walls and neighboring properties. When it gets hot, dry or rainy, they march inside looking for water and food.
Store-bought sprays kill the ants you see but trigger the colony to split and move, which is why the problem usually comes back worse. Our technicians use non-repellent treatments and slow-acting baits that worker ants carry back to share with the queens, collapsing the colony from the inside.
Then we treat the exterior perimeter, foundation, weep screeds, door thresholds and landscaping to create a barrier, and show you the moisture and food sources that were attracting them.

Ants We Treat
Common ants in San Diego County
Argentine Ants
Small, light-to-dark brown ants that travel in long, busy trails. Responsible for most kitchen and bathroom ant invasions in Chula Vista.
Odorous House Ants
Dark ants that smell like rotten coconut when crushed. They nest in walls and under floors near moisture.
Carpenter Ants
Large black or bicolored ants that excavate damp or damaged wood. Sawdust-like frass is a warning sign.
Southern Fire Ants
Reddish ants with a painful sting that nest in lawns and soil. Important to treat around kids and pets.
Pavement Ants
Nest under sidewalks, patios and slabs, pushing up small piles of soil and invading for sweets and grease.
Pharaoh & Thief Ants
Tiny ants that spread when sprayed. They require specialized baiting rather than repellent products.

Ant Control FAQ
Your ant questions, answered
Why do I have so many ants in my house?
In Chula Vista and San Diego, indoor ant invasions are usually Argentine ants coming inside for water and food during hot, dry weather or after rain. Crumbs, pet food, sweet spills and leaky plumbing make your home even more attractive.
How long does it take to get rid of ants?
You'll usually see a big drop in ant activity within a few days as the bait works through the colony. Large Argentine ant colonies can take one to two weeks to fully collapse, and recurring perimeter service keeps new colonies from moving in.
Should I spray the ants before you arrive?
Please don't. Repellent sprays and cleaners break up the trails we use to find the nest and can cause the colony to split. Just wipe up food and let us see the activity.
Is ant treatment safe in my kitchen?
Yes. Indoors we use small, targeted bait placements in cracks, crevices and entry points, not broadcast spraying on counters or food areas.
Do you treat ants in Chula Vista, National City and Bonita?
Yes. We provide ant control throughout Chula Vista, Eastlake, Otay Ranch, National City, Bonita, Imperial Beach and the rest of San Diego County.
